Prenatal Yoga and Pilates
Practicing yoga and Pilates during your pregnancy can help to have an easier prenatal period, and labour. Improves your posture and strengthens your body to carry the extra load while your baby is growing inside of you and helps with easier recovery as well after delivery.
I have been teaching prenatal yoga for over 6 years. Please have a look at this short video demonstrating one of my favourite yoga poses for easing lower back pain and tension in the hips. This is a great pose not just during pregnancy.
The Sivananda Yoga Sequence
Sivananda yoga was created by Swami Sivananda who was originally a medical doctor. He created this sequence to align your chakras (your energy centers) and by practicing providing overall health for body and mind.
Caution: If you are a beginner, please only attempt the headstand and shoulder-stand in the presence of an advanced practitioner or teacher.
